> Lithium orotate is available through Vitamin Research Products (www.vrp.com). They sell 120 mg. capsules for $12.00 plus shipping. I've purchased a bottle for my husband who wants to see if it will help his anxiety and "racing head" feeling when he gets stressed. He's on Klonopin right now (1/2 of one pill) and doesn't feel any better deep down. Klonopin stops the racing head feeling but he still has that underlying feeling of anxiety. He's tried higher doses (up to 20 mg.) and still not felt happy. He hates taking a drug and is interested in trying lithium orotate. Over the past few months, he's been taking an "elixir" of lepidolite to see if micro doses of lithium could be effective. While he doesn't feel it's all he needs, he does say that it has worked on a deeply subtle basis. The lepidolite elixir was easy to make. We purchased a large lepedolite rock (the size of the palm of your hand), washed off any traces of dust and dirt, and placed it into a wide mouthed glass jug. We then covered the rock with DISTILLED water as distilled water can pull more mineral deposits and other formations out of anything it touches. We put the water jug with the rock into the mid-day sun and left it there for 3 hours. Bubbles immediately started to form all over the lepidolite and enter into the jug. After three hours, we removed the rock, added equal parts of brandy to preserve the elixir and he takes one teaspoon of that mixture two or three times a day. One alternative doc said it was like getting a homeopathic form of lithium that would work "over time." We'll see what the lithium orotate does. Anyone else try lithium orotate? I understand that divided doses of 50 milligrams twice a day is recommended for a 150 pound male or female.
