In reply to Interrogate Saddam after using trypto-free diet?, posted by irishcatholic on December 15, 2003, at 13:48:48
"After four hours, Saddam will become agitated, depressed, angry and impulsive. Over the next eight to 12 hours, his symptoms will increase, and he will become suicidal. Should he be subjected to a TFM diet over a period of several days, Saddam would become fully psychotic".>>>>>>>>>> After ONLY 4 hours he would become agitated, depressed, angry and impulsive??? And after only 8-12 hours without any tryptophan, he'd become suicidal??? THAT quickly? Do you agree with this author Lar or is he oversimplifying things? Also, the article states that you can test for blood tryptophan levels---but a blood test for tryptophan would ONLY show trypto blood levels at THAT point in time...it could not be used to tell if somebody is chronically deficient in tryptophan, could it? What's interesting to read, for me, in this article is the symptoms resulting from a lack of trypto --- such as depression, anger and agitation. Those are symptoms that I take meds for and when I take the trypto (as I mentioned in my recent postings) those are exactly the symptoms that the trypto works beautifully for in me (plus anxiety). My body sure seems to lack tryptophan. IF my body does lack tryptophan, then WHY? What are some of the possible reasons, physiologically speaking, that could cause someone to take in enough trypto (I'm sure I eat enough of it...I eat good) yet still not get its effects? When I take the trypto horse product, I feel the effects (mood lifts, anxiety/agitation lessen)....but what keeps me from feeling the effects of dietary trypto in foods? Pfeiffer told me that high histamine blocks the production of serotonin, hence their theory that lowering my very high histamine levels will result in increased serotonin production. But I'll bet there could be many factors for serotonin to be deficient in someone...do you know of other possible reasons Lar? Again, I'm sure that I take in as much dietary trypto as other folks, so why the problem??? I'm just pondering Lar...if you can't think of any possible reasons that's cool. Later!!!
