> -psychloverThe evidence for immune regulatory effects is not overwhelming, but it's pretty convincing. Purchasing a supplement (e.g. maitake extract) doesn't really appeal to me, when you can get fresh shiitake, oyster, maitake etc. mushrooms in the grocery. Even canned ones would be beneficial, IMHO. If you don't like the taste, an extract might be the way to go.
