I see that things are very bad for a lot of people in Rhode Island (for example) too.
I guess the difference, really, is in whether a place gives you the resources you need in order to function and have quality of life. Whether you have the connections and power you need in order to accomplish and achieve the kinds of things you value...
Or whether the place sucks and takes from you only.
There is nothing in NZ for me. That has been made abundantly clear. There is nothing for me. I do work and it isn't acknowledged or accepted or processed. I am expected to live on welfare. People don't answer my questions (I am not allowed to ask questions) people take my work and pass it off as their own. I am expected to beg for welfare scraps and handouts and there is no meaningful employment for me. I am involuntarily detained and tortured in our public hospitals. The Universities refuse to process my applications, my work, my completions.
Here is complete and absolute and utter garbage. There's nothing here.
