why is it these people so often assign their own publications as primary reading? is it possible they're using coursera to beef up sales of otherwise unprofitable academic books? Some of these courses are quite large-- I hear--
It;s one thing if the prof is a noble-prize-winning economist-- but is Bloom saying that there are not better books in the field than his own? Is this legit? or does it somehow smack of a conflict of interest?
