That said, I don't think the policy of deleting the posts of blocked posters is about keeping things tidy. I *think* it's about creating a disincentive to circumventing the blocks by reregistering. Of course deleting stuff days later doesn't do that very well and in the meantime other posters have gotten invested in the discussions. Perhaps some kind of statute of limitations would make sense.
