No need to apologize. You didn't pressure me; I simply realized that refraining from an explanation would leave you, and perhaps others, with a feeling of being in the dark regarding which of your babble friends may have chosen not to update you about the change and why :)
I agree with you about apologies. In fact, I did apologize, but the truth is that the problematic message I wrote was a general statement and not directed towards a particular babbler. I realized, however, due to the responses, that I had touched on a sensitive issue. I fear the apology cannot prevent offended persons from associating my name with the painful feelings the message has aroused. Therefore, it is best that the former name no longer appear on the board, with hope that the effect of the message will diminish with time.
