Hi, Deneb.
I 've been trying not to get too involved in these discussions about blocks, because everyone's emotions are so intense and things can be said -- or felt-- that send ripples through the rest of my babble experience.
So I didn't say anything in the prior thread-- but just to assure you, there are many who care about you and are concerned about your being hurt-- Try to focus on that, rather than on people's concern for Verne.
I think people can care about two people-- both you and Verne-- without having it diminish their caring about either. If you see what I mean. That is-- they can be distressed about the length of Verne's block-- especially because there are so many hurt feelings about blocks already-- And at the same time, they can be concerned about your feelings.
I understand your feelings about the discussion-- Because the issue of long blocks is so painful for everyone-- it's the length of the block, rather than the exchange that provoked it-- that people are focusing on. So they seem to care about Verne and not on the effect on you of his post. I don't think it means they don't care about you, though-- it's just that blocks are such a raw issue here.
I hope you can take comfort in the thought that there are a lot of people here who do care about you and know what you're struggling with-- and support you--
and take something from that-- that's what really matters.
I'm trying to do the same in a situation myself-- and I know it's always a struggle-- but it's a good struggle to keep on turning to-- because over time, you'll get better at it.
