One way in which these tweets differ from the RSS feeds is that I choose what to tweet. So I do wonder if some of the reactions people are having might have to do with wanting (or not wanting) to be chosen (or others to be chosen).

I think the biggest advantage is that people can personalize their posts with signatures. The signature is really good for a med board because you can include the drugs you are on, that way others can see what you are taking without asking or see your diagnosis without trying to remember.
