I don't think encouraging posters to apologize to avoid admin action is absurd. It's not anything terribly new, as posters apologizing and working things out themselves has always been welcomed. Dr. Bob brought the idea to the forefront on Admin lately, is all.
While I don't always personally agree with each and every guideline or change, I don't think Dr. Bob's policies are absurd. If I did, I likely wouldn't be here, and certainly wouldn't choose to continue as a deputy.

I don't see making a one-time suggestion to another poster as pressuring.
