i want to vote for the design "as is". Especially I hope you never go to a white background, as reading on white becomes a race against eyestrain and headache.
The design is fine. Its all about the words anyway, so design is always secondary. Some kind of logo of some kind might be nice. I design stuff like that if you're ever in the market for a freebie.
