I don't know whether to smile or cry when I read this post. Smile because I am so happy for you, and proud of you and extremely impressed by you. (You do realize, right, what persistence and resilience and just plain guts it's taken you to make these steps, get to this point?) Cry because...well, because of the same stuff I suppose - I'm someone whose emotions are all pretty close to the surface and I feel both sad and joyful things intensely. So...the 'crying' would only be the good kind :-)
I - and many others here - have witnessed your growth and transformation, and I'm sure we'll continue to do so. I'll bet I could speak for others, too, when I say it's an honor to Babble with you and to 'know' you, even if that's mainly here and not *IRL.* As your pdoc so wisely put it, a place like Babble and the people who *are* Babble do matter, they are helpful, they are, after all, real people, that's why you can have real relationships with them/us.
Deneb, I want you to know, in case you don't, that the journey you're on, or specifically - allowing us to share some of it - actually is performing a measure of healing for others at the same time you experience it. Does that make sense? Isn't it great to think maybe at the same time you feel so much better and life has more 'life in it' for you, someone reading this could be inspired, want to emulate you, have hope that if you could do this, so could they?
I think it's awesome that you posted this, and I must admit I'm almost at a loss for the right words to express how I felt when I read it. And once I get up the nerve and energy to post....well, I'm *never* supposed to be at a loss for words! Not talkative me - lol!
