I wish to god I thought you were kidding, Quintal. But my experience suggests you are not.
I believe that a good rule of thumb when sending an email to more than one person: Blind copy is your friend.

BCC.And another rule of thumb that others have brought up that might be useful for respecting others in life in general and here at Babble: do not share information that is not "yours" to share. That is, if it's private, personal, identifying in any way information about another, zip it. It's up to that other person to share it with whomever THEY choose to.
In my case, I feel upset when I'm the recipient of private information without the individual's permission. I'd feel upset as well if I knew that someone disclosed mine. So I think there's more potential harm than just to the person who's info was disclosed. Then there's also the worry that others could have about our their privacy when someone else's is breached, as some of you have talked about already.
Bah. I'm angry.
