If someone were to tell a racist joke on babble, a joke about rape, a joke about killing babies, a joke about Sept 11, a joke about the shootings at VA, a joke about someone harming kids sexually or physcially,etc. and I put a trigger warning on it, does that mean that it is excepted here at Babble or should I say allowed?
There are funny jokes that don't have to put down others or about gross abuse of animals, people, ect.
Now is we were allowed to post anything , then I can see everything being allowed, including the offensive jokes. But I thought this site was above this.
Heck we can't even write about what dose to take of drugs if you want to die, why can't we just but a trigger on that, and let those sensitive to that deceide to read it or not?
I know I am not the only one that feels that animal cruelty jokes shouldn't be allowed here. I have nothing against those who post those jokes, I just don't like the jokes, trigger or no trigger.
I am not triggered by these jokes. In fact I believe "being triggered" is way over used. Just because someone finds a joke offensive doesn't mean that they are triggered going into a downwards spiral to kill themselves.
If it is allowed to say oh, I think those jokes are funny, then it should be also allowed to say ,no it isn't funny to me. It is just an viewpoint.
I just don't find animal cruelity a jokes funny and joking about it seems to be "accepting " that it is okay to do so.I really thought this site had higher standards on what was allowed to post.
