As far as ads go, if you mean the ads Dr. Bob is now using on the boards...you can turn those off yourself. Just click on "hide ads" near the bottom of the page and you won't see them after that.
I'm not aware of any "posts which are similar to spam e-mails?" If you see a post you think is inappropriate here, please use the "Notify the Administrators" button at the bottom of the post and we will gladly take a look at it.
