Administrator or Physician?

Posted by one woman cine on January 19, 2007, at 11:23:48

There is a link to an article (i posted awhile back) about internet sites that lead to dr./patient relationships.

"Inviting contact from site visitors may lead to inadvertent doctor-patient relationships, with ensuing legal duties. Statements made may be considered explicit warranties, which are subject to lawsuits when not fulfilled. "

I am wondering about this in regard to Dr. Bob, he has babble parties and interpersonal contact. He is not acting in a purely "administrative" sense then. He is acting another capacity.

Also, what are "his" personal duties (not FAQ rules) concerning suicidal (self-harming) posters - not only as an administrator but as a physician?

I'm not sure, but I would like to know what Bob considers his duties. What about the dichtomy between personal interactions and "administrative" ones.

Here's the link...
