Perhaps you might use your sorrow to rephrase something like this
something like
I'm sorry I blocked you despite my knowledge of the pain my blocks have caused you in the past
Obviously something is not working here

I will reform the blocking system I designed immediately so that it will not happen again to you or others
and then my sorrow will be gone
....might be nice
