i think you worry about possible harms
to the point where you don't take proper account of actual harms
i think the blocking system harms more than it helps
it is too easy to block people
it is much harder to learn to work through conflict

(and please lets not turn this into a dichotomy of status quo or the horrors of complete self governance)
