When did this come into effect?
What counts as an IP address?
Is that the same as a server?
So if I go to visit Damos and we post from the same internet cafe then one of us will get blocked?
Or that will be okay because we were established from different locations?
Phillipa has posted to the boards for quite a while now. I think her posting style is fairly distinctive. People know her. She doesn't go around getting blocked all the time. I got to know Gnepig a bit from when he posted here. He does indeed come across as very different from Phillips to my mind at least. I don't know for sure they are different people. But I don't know for sure that you aren't Dr Bob.I say...
Why not give Phillipa (and her husband by extension) the benefit of the doubt?Don't punish Gnepig for Dr Bob's epistemological issues...
Don't punish Gnepig for the fact that they can't afford to run two servers (because that is what his is doing in effect)
Surely they could do something to reassure him that they are in fact seperate people.
You would think that Dr Bob would have thought of the above... And at least tried to be accomodating...
But no.
Poor Gnepig. He gave up his place here (got blocked indefinately) so that Phillipa could post (if I remember rightly). Male chivalry and all. ((((Phillipa)))) I'm glad you are here. But I don't see why you guys can't both post so long as you promise to only use one computer each.
I don't think that is fair.
