Yeah,it doesn't imply that...
It is just that pain is something that tends to be avoided, and pleasure is something that tends to be sought out - by definition (? maybe). There is a literature on that (if you are interested)...

If there was an experience of phenomenological pain (just like how pain feels) but these alien creatures were wired up in such a way that they purposely sought it out...

Then would the phenomenological experience be pleasurable for them?
Or would there just be a different behaviour associated with the pain?

aka is pain essentially aversive.

(ack. i've been working too hard)
