You can always say 'no' if you don't feel up to it.
In a way... Thats kind of the point of my suggestion. I know that in my own case I vary quite a bit with respect to how much I am able to support other people and how much I am struggling to stay afloat myself. For me, this would be a relatively safe way of trying to help out because I know I can always say 'sorry but I'm not up to it' and other people will be available. So I really don't have to feel pressure to do it when I am struggling.
