Dr Bob - Questions about the faith board

Posted by Angel Girl on January 11, 2005, at 10:14:30

Dr Bob

I am very new to the Faith board and am very puzzled as to what is acceptable and what is not. I know that the posts are to be tolerant of all faiths but I do not believe that is happening IMHO.

Why?

Comments are posted as facts. Shouldn't they be started with "I believe" or "In my faith" or something similiar?

Example:

Salvation can only be obtained through Jesus Christ.

Should it not be better written as

I believe that salvation can only be obtained through Jesus Christ.

OR

As a Christian, I believe that salvation can only be obtained through Jesus Christ.

What if I was reading the Faith board but I didn't believe in Jesus Christ. Would the first comment I made not lead others to feel put down?

Could I please have some clarification to what is acceptable and what is not on how to post on the Faith board, as it is not my intent to put down others of different faiths than mine.

Thanks,
AG
