In my request for clarification, I wrote that you cited Jean Rousseau. You responded to me by writing,[...that is not what i quoted...].
I did not use quotation marks. To cite could mean to [...bring forward or call to another's attention...] or it could mean [...to quote by way of example...]
My use of the word cite here was that you are bringing forward or calling to people's attention the writing of Jean Rousseau.
If we have a misunderstanding about this, I am sorry. But misunderstandings can be cleared up .
