Sorry if I've missed any discussion of this (from a PBS thread).
I absolutely agree it is important to respect each other's political views. Pres Bush is a particularly difficult topic as he is the leader of the world's only superpower- the worlds most powerful man. What he decides can have a direct impact on my life, and that worries me.
As a Brit, I also have concerns about the way that Tony Blair behaves in relation to the US. And both do add to my stress (as does the sad decision I wont go to the US again, since it would now involve a retinal scan and fingerprinting). So there is a link with mental health (at least for me), but I agree that this is maybe best kept to other discussion forums.
Some of us are emotionally fragile at times when reading postings, and need to feel supported and respected.
