I take it this was a jab at my post “Mother’s Little Shadow” on Writing earlier this week, and I think I must concur with Susan in that the substance of posts like mine can be much more shocking than the use of “coarse slang” which gets a pbc. However I don’t want to get into a lexical argument.
What I do want to say is that the Writing board did not feel like a comfortable place to be raising the kind of issues I wanted to, but nor do any of the other boards seem right. Or can you suggest where I should have posted? I think there is definitely a place for a new board, entitled Psycho-Sexual Babble or something of the sort as Dinah suggested, where it would be possible to post triggering material of a sexual nature without feeling as if the space and sentiments of others were being invaded and offended. It is perhaps also a place where there could be a bit more tolerance of potentially offensive language.
Is there any chance of this? I suspect there are other people who want to talk about sexual issues who don’t feel comfortable with the busy Psychology or Social boards.
