OK, I reread the suggestion about using a Rounds sort of discussion of threads that have devolved into incivility. Now that my brain is a little clearer, I still like the idea. How to get it working, though, is a little harder.
Here are a couple of ideas, which I don't know any answers to. You probably do, so consider those that are possible, and reject those that aren't.
In law and accounting, there are strict requirements for Continuing Professional Education. The different certifications all require continuing ed, although they all have different names for it. Many non-profits in my area take advantage of those requirements, by providing CPE credit for volunteers who complete the programs' trainings AND [x] number of hours of volunteer time. Getting approved as a provider of CPE was never particularly difficult, usually just having a clear idea of what the programs's goals were, and how they related to the CPE subject; then fill out up to 10 pages of paperwork which gets renewed each year just for the asking. Also, once the first certification board approves a provider, most other boards consider that enough to grant approval status. In other words, you can probably find doctors or interns or residents or someone to throw a few dozen hours per year at you for working on your Rounds.
Remember, free CPE that might actually be interesting -- lots of folks will beat a path to your door.
Also, being at a teaching hospital, I think you are, anyway, could you maybe coordinate with a clinical professor of Psychology or Psychiatry to make something like Rounds a student project? Maybe a sort of practice practicum?
