You don't know. I don't know. Only Bob knows, and I'm not sure anybody trusts him enough (or should) given his heavy-handed record.

Anxiousgrrl,

I'm one of those people who spends more time here than I'd like to admit. I suspect that there are a lot of people like me. There are periods of time in which I read the board, then keep hitting refresh in the hopes that there is something new to see. If there isn't anything new I've been known to read the old stuff again. There is no way that large numbers of posts could have been deleted without me seeing many of them first and then noticing their absence. I know of almost no posts that have been deleted - certainly not for content. You'll notice this thread with it's accusations is still here. Also, interestingly, I've never heard any long term poster - one who's name I recognize from their participation on this board over time on subjects other than complaints about the board - say that they've seen posts being deleted either. Some of them spend as much time here as I do and if none of us have seen it it's probably not happening. It's one of the things I like about this particular site.

Jane

PS Just before hitting submit on this post my telephone rang. When I came back an hour later I saw all the new posts on this thread but not mine. Even though I know that posts aren't deleted it took me a while to puzzle out that my post was still there on my computer in another window with the submit key unpressed. It's possible to get confused.
