I'm glad the system's working for you now, and I really appreciate the help, and I know you can't predict what I'm going to think, but sometimes less is more.

1. I do try myself to nip things in the bud, but I think it may be better to require two uncivil posts in a thread for deputies: (a) There's some opposition to the whole deputy thing, so if deputies are less active, there may be fewer complaints. (b) Part of the idea is that if something can't wait, deputies can act, but if there's only one uncivil post, then maybe it can in fact wait:

(c) And the less deputies do, the less it will interfere with being plain old posters.

2. I really don't like to delete posts. If someone posts something that's so problematic that it needs to be deleted, they should be blocked.

3. Tempted, I understand, but I like to edit even less than I like to delete.
