You were crystal clear in your intent from the get-go and I'm sorry that you've had to go thru all this. You sound like a very good person and the board needs people like you.
I hope you don't feel the need to explain yourself anymore, you didn't do anything wrong. From someone who's been around here for awhile, trust me, it isn't worth the effort.
