> In Lauren Slater's excellent "Blue Dreams: The Science and the Story of the Drugs that Changed Our Minds," she finds an underground therapist who does psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy. When the therapist hears about the cocktail of drugs Slater is taking, she tells her that she won't treat her with psychedelics (psilocybin, I think) unless she goes off her drugs first. She says that antidepressants will block the effects of the psychedelic. Slater is afraid to go off her meds, so she decides against the treatment. Still, Slater believes that psychedelics are the most promising future treatment for depression.

>Hi Hugh,
