I took minocycline for over a year. I felt somewhat improved, but it was far from being a robust response. I stopped taking it because I developed hyperpigmentation of my feet and shins. It often doesn't appear for a year or more. Unfortunately, this is not an uncommon side effect. The hyperpigmentation often disappears over the course of years, but is sometimes permanent.
