Previous studies indicated that there is a "sweet-spot" of ketamine dosage that works best to treat depression. Taking a dosage that doesn't produce any dissociation at all is too low. A dosage that produces only a mild amount of dissociation works best. A dosage that is high enough to produce pronounced dissociation or unconsciousness is too high and demonstrated to be ineffective for treating depression.
