Pre-XR Effexor??

Hey folks:

I still remember taking the original immediate release Effexor..I think I had to take it 3x a day??
And...my god...what fresh hell was that? I remember taking my first few fat tablets..and I very closely exploded!! 75mg dumped into the blood..OMG! I swore to *never* touch that stuff again, yet here I am, on 225 mg XR for about 5 years. I still f'ing hate the stuff, but nothing better has come along.

Anybody remember taking those big round Effexor IR's?
