when i started it, HATED the dose i was on, but what happened was, for a long time was on 200mg for depression, we moved up because of mood swings. First time 400mg, dulled me out totally, seroquelized and overly stable. But after time it did .... it would take a while for someone to get used to it, at that dose.

But still there is....a little blunting, but if i don't take the 400, i feel wacky, or still my mood is lower. Sometimes lamictal can be stimulating, not sure how to descibe it. I would be in fun mood, then took lamotgrine and blunted it. So, i just got used to effect, it makes me not go into depression slumps. I noticed, even with prozac i would have slumps, lamictal is mood stablizer, but it treats more depression side, rather than lithium with mania

It's good but yeah its a high dose but i adapted, and its going ok. I mean its not the best med, but rather take lamictal over lithium. Some people take both, i was in the psych about 3 weeks ago, they had someone on lamictal and lithium for bipolar I this guy told me had to take to get stable
