> Hello Everyone
Hello.
> I have recently had a nasty exacerbation of my OCD after twenty years of relatively manageable symptoms. I was very anxious and not sleeping. My primary fear generating my OCD is a fear of not sleeping. My psych doc has me currently on:
>
> Paxil 40 mg in a.m.That is a fairly high dose, 10 mg short of the maximum recommended 50 mg.
I know from my own experience that paroxetine (Seroxat (in my case), Paxil) has the potential to induce prominent sedation, or alternatively severe apathy. I experienced that, and I believe I was taking just 20 mg.
> Pregablin 100 mg @ a.m., 4 p.m. and nighttime. (I am trying to stay away from benzos as recommended by therapist.)
>According to Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pregabalin
over 10% of users experience drowsiness. Only dizziness is as common.> zopiclone 7.5 mg and trazadone 50 mg (along with my Gabapentin at night).
>I suppose you mean pregabalin and not gabapentin?
In summary, it is very possible, if not likely, that it's the medications making you feel oversedated.
