There have been reports for over ten years that Botox injections between the eyes and in the forehead can lesson depression. It was thought that if a person couldn't frown, he/she wouldn't be able to feel as depressed. What's new about this study is that it didn't matter where these people received their Botox injections. An injection ANYWHERE in the body had a good chance of having an antidepressant effect. It's now believed that Botox has a calming effect on the central nervous system.

> Yeah, this actually not new news. There were some earlier studies (a year ago) suggesting the same thing. Botox can also help migraines. I wonder what the mechanism is.
