yes, it makes you irrtible, like a caffeine tension, i think lower doses are the only good thing. It increases noradrenaline systems, and cortisol. Stress chemicals, that why i guess it can be unpleasant, but it said on the label it's made to help stressful levels and gives more stress chemical release, to help. Some people do well, its a good pick me upper, but it definitely has irritable effects, noradrenaline system dysphoria, and combination of other things. Google the mechanism of action of rhodiola, it's complicated but its main purpose is for stress and low energy depression
