it's in the US, the opiod crisis, many many people are on opiods not even for severe pain, more like subtle pain and their doctors are sugar daddies and give them what they want.
Benzos, mainly xanax in the us is a prescribed #1 for anxiety, there are many people who take alprazolam it's very common, i guess government wnats to slow down and not use it as widely. During the 70s it was common to have a benzo in thee house for your nerves, but i think ater time it changed and now it's back again
