i've been taking lamicatal now for 8 years but ... for a long time i found it to be not effective, and it was just since the past 2 years i started to see good results, for a long time lamotragine would dull my mood out, and make me in bad mood. But i noticed it's benefit one time, when i drank alcohol and was seriously depressed i took my 400mg dose i didnt take ealier in the day, it took me out out the depression to baseline. If im in a slump and i take lamictal it pulls me out of it, it works ith the prozac well. It's classified as mood stablizer for bipolar depression, with mainly taking care of depressive symptoms rather than manic. But the thing i noticed is it keeps me at baseline. Lithium and Depakote are for bipolar mania not dpression, that's why i've found antidepressant effect of lamotragine.
