What dose of Effexor are you on?

I take Effexor, lithium and mirtazapine. Mirtazapine counteracts the insomnia I would otherwise get from Effexor.

The insomnia from Effexor could improve over time, but for me did not go away completely. You might talk to your doctor about adding a low dose of mirtazapine, amitriptyline, trazodone or doxepin as these can help counteract the insomnia.
