hello I have this form of valproic acid its russian https://www.drugs.com/uk/convulex-capsules-500mg-leaflet.html and looks like this: http://www.medicine-online.org/img/p/6/8/1/681-large_default.jpg 300mg per pill. My question is why does the valproate pills smell like candy + dishwasher products mixed? and why does it feel so weird when swallowing it? and why are the pills slippery and says ''CC 3 '' on them? the pill look similar to this: https://imgur.com/a/ikCcinN anyway, I recently got valproic acid (sodium valproate) and it looks like this: http://medicine-one.org/images/015345001414490210.jpg its Russian. So I took 1 half of pill (150mg) and I dont think I felt anything then I took the rest of the half and Im still not feeling much. I was wondering is this a low dose? I AM DEATHLY SCARED of this drug because I read it can make you go blind because it messes with your Mitochondrial and I have severe fatigue (no disorders) so im afraid to take a higher dosage afraid it will make me lose my vision- I read it can make you blind on selfhacked :
''Mitochondria are the energy-producing machines of every cell in your body. Genetic defects can prevent them from functioning normally, interfering with a wide variety of cellular functions. This causes a range of problems including deafness, blindness, and seizures [R].
Because it interferes with liver metabolism, patients with mitochondrial disorders should avoid valproic acid, as this can worsen seizures and cause acute liver failure [R, R].''
or perhaps i am reading/understanding it wrong? I wanna take a higher dose like 900mg but im v
