Risperidone fatigue - ways to mitigate it?

Posted by Sprat on March 30, 2019, at 22:10:04

Hi all

I've been on several different antidepressants for the last 20 years for agoraphobia. They keep pooping out on me :(

My pdoc decided to add on risperidone when the last one pooped out and it has worked brilliantly. I'm currently on 40mg paroxetine, 0.5mg risperidone and 25mg amitriptyline (for bladder pain). The only problem is the fatigue that the risperidone causes. I've been on it for about 4 years, and it was OK when I was working part time, but now I'm working closer to full time hours I'm completely shattered come the weekend. I spend half the time in bed when I'd rather be playing with my son. Any suggestions for mitigating the fatigue? I'm currently chugging caffeine and that's not cutting it.

cheers
Sprat
