I have seen Topamax relieve someone of their mixed-state hypomania. She was taking 200 mg/day. She was later brought down to 100 mg/day. I don't remember why, but I think she remained well thereafter. Of course, you have to be wary of kidney stones and metabolic acidosis. The formation of stones is dosage dependent. I took 100 mg/day for a little while. I experienced nothing good, but nothing bad.
