yeah...Mother's Little Helpers can dampen mood,especially Klonopin. It wasn't until I'd been off the Klonopin for...12 months, maybe longer...that my so-called "severe depression" let up. turns out...
AM agitation? yeah, that's interdose anxiety. Slowed thoughts? 3mgs/Klonopin for a teenager will do that.
The other benzodiazepines can cause problems, but I don't think its in the same league as clonazepam. dosage is also an issue. 40mgs/valium might not be a problem, but ramp it up to 60mgs (or equivalent in something else...), and you might hit a low point.
xanax was (is?) used, now and then, in some forms of depression. there's an xr now, which I haven't taken and don't know much about...maybe its easier to taper?
hope things get better for you. im glad you've switched out the klonopin for something less noxious.
