Should be similar.
Sublingual administration doesn't speed the onset of alprazolam, however, beyond a placebo effect. Sublingually administered alprazolam taken without water is absorbed more slowly than a plain alprazolam tablet swallowed whole with a glass of water. The reason is that alprazolam and other benzos are absorbed predominantly from the GI tract, not the mouth, and that a glass of water speeds absorption. A tablet swallowed on an empty stomach with a full glass of water will take effect most rapidly.
