Jereon I think CBD offers the most potential for you.

That's because Doxy by itself - without 2 other antibiotics to go with it - will never get you to the finish line. It will get you part way through the journey but end up making things worse eventually - if it is the only antibiotic. That's because the spirochete Borellia morphs into 3 different forms when under attack. Doxy only covers 2 of those. Over time Doxy will cause all the remaining live Borellia to morph into their cystic form where Doxy is ineffective.

You would need Flagyl for the cystic form and you would need Ceftin for the cell-wall deficient form. Or other choices. But the different forms require different treatments and they have to happen at the same time.

If there is a co-infection of Bartonella - common - then you would need Rifampin added to all that.

I am on 4 antibiotics right now. Doxy-Ceftin-Rifampin-and Flagyl on weekends. I was on Doxy for a long time - the first couple months I got a little better - but things got worse and worse after that - until adding the other antibiotics which caused rapid improvement.

CBD offers a wide spectrum potential of improving your symptoms and quality of life. It may or may not be effective against the actual underlying problem (assuming infection). But returning to our best functional selves should be the goal and we are limited by what tools we can get our hands on.

If I was in your shoes and I could choose one of 2 tools, knowing what I know now, I would choose CBD over Doxy.

I would also be consuming as much raw garlic as I could possibly do, with respect to my lifestyle and social contact. Garlic covers all the different forms of Borellia and co-infections. It requires high dosing (think stink) and several months. Take breaks to not smell all the time.

In my own experience, CBD sometimes needs high dosing to be effective. I tried it a few weeks ago for a strong anxiety attack from lyme - it worked fairly well at 1 dropper but noticeably better at 2 droppers. It helped mood and peace. Also good for pain and sometimes fatigue.

Feeling better is always the goal and I think CBD does that better than Doxy. imo
