Hi guys, so ive only posted on babble sporadically in the past year or so. Ive been dealing with severe symptoms and i think ive stumbled upon some info that may be very relevant to my mental health situation. Info about autoimmune autoantibodies resulting in brain dysfunctions that result in psychiatric conditions. And that the the elevated autoantibodies in the brain are never considered 99.9% of the time. This is starting to be considered more in brain disrases like Parkinsons and Alzheimers, as well as Schizophrenia and Depression as well. I think my severe condition may be related to an abnormal immune reaction affecting my brain function, especially considering i had autoimmune encephalitis, caused by an infection that attacked my brain in 2001 tgat resulted in a 5 day coma. But my immune system began attacking my brain, along with the infection. I could write pages and pages on my experience since then...
Autoimmunity playing a role in psychiatric disorders is relatively recent discovery. Here is a link to one of the many research articles ive been reading:

Anyway, back in April i had thought my primary care doc made an appointment for me to see a neurologist, and that my appointment wasnt until November. I called 2 weeks ago to check on the specific day my appointment was on, only to find out it had never been made 😠. Pretty upsetting waiting all that time thinking i had an appointment this month. So now monday i will be making a new appointment, and cant stand the thought of waiting much longer. Even waiting another month seems unbearable. I need to get my condition figured out, because i am suffering.
