my heart rate is too fast BETA BLOCKER OR NO? plea

please advice, my EKG went ok except my heart rate is too fast for a year now, so my internist wants to prescribe a beta blocker
i already take injection abilify 400 Mg
Seroquel 50 mg XR lowest dose
Clonazepam 1 mg twice daily
and now a beta blocker to slow down my heart rate, to protect my heart from attacks the doctor said??
will this affect my anxiety and depression will there be side effects?
