Welcome to psychobabble, Hiver!
I have somatic ruminations and have had them for about 7 years daily.
It is very disabling and has ruined a big part of my life. For your information it is hypocondria for me. I think about a specific part of my body that for instance ache or are swollen, over and over and over again. Checking myself constantly in the mirror or taking of my socks 200-300 times a day if it is my foot that is the object for the day.
And i have the same thing as you to where i go over a conversation i have had with a specific person over and over again. I even change the topic or the things i have said to check if the outcome (in my head) would have been different if i said this or that, and so on.
So, i feel you buddy :-)
I think that memantine was very good for this sort of problems if you can't tolerate the metabolic disturbances with zyprexa, or else i think that zyprexa is the best :-)
But i am going to make a 1-10 grade with medications i think is good or bad for this thing!
Here it goes:
Olanzapine 9
Memantine 7.5
Amitriptyline 7
risperdal 7.5
Perphenazine 8
Clonazepam 10-6.5 due to the fading of effect with time (for me)
And there is more to but this is the medication i think is good, but i have tried over 40 psych-meds in my life time so you can ask if you want to know something more! :-)Kind regards / J
