Thanks for reporting back what happened at freeforums. I noticed your account was deleted and wasn't sure if there was something wrong with that site.
I'd like to offer some speculation about the password issue. I would guess the freeforums site itself is compromised, and someone has access to new accounts. I doubt that LP has the skills to hack any site, based on has past attempts to subvert blocks here which were so inept that the admin immediately detected his actions.
